Adjustable clamping levers are preferably used when the clamping range is limited or a specific clamping position is desired. The threaded insert is detachably connected to the handle by a serration. By lifting (pulling) the handle, the serration is released and the clamping lever can be swivelled into the most favourable clamping position. When "released", the handle automatically engages again. The support disc is captive, does not rotate during tightening and protects the clamping surface from damage. A typical application is the use of the clamping lever for slotted holes.
