What is a swing clamp?
Swing clamps are components that are most frequently used in the field of clamping technology. They use the retraction of the clamping piston to move the clamping arm over the workpiece to be machined. Here you determine at which point the clamping arm lowers in order to optimally fix the workpiece.
Where can swing clamps be optimally used?
Our swing clamps can be used without any problems wherever a low clamping force is sufficient. This can be in plant and machine construction as well as in toolmaking. The swing clamps are used to fix a workpiece on a workbench or other work device.
What is the function of a swing clamp?
With the support of the swivel function, the clamping points can be exposed easily and comfortably. The swing clamp adapts itself optimally to the workpiece to be machined. With this function, our swing clamps guarantee a smooth workflow.
Which variants of swing clamps do we offer?
We offer you the swing clamps in different versions.
If you decide on our swing clamp with screw-in thread, for example, the design will help you to save as much space as possible during assembly. In addition, you benefit from the advantage that the swing clamp can be adjusted to any height.
Please note that during the clamping process, a 90-degree swivel stroke movement downwards takes place first. This is immediately followed by a clamping stroke with a linear progression. It is important that the workpiece is only clamped within the clamping stroke. To ensure that the swing clamp with screw-in thread provides you with optimum support, we have attached a slotted hole to the clamping arm. You can choose between a left-swinging or a right-swinging version.
Depending on your needs, you can also opt for the version of our swing clamp without clamping arm or choose a model where we offer the clamping arm with a threaded hole.
What material are our swing clamps made of?
We source swing clamps that are made from aluminium and steel. Our swing clamps made of steel are particularly stable and ideally suited for robust use. For the clamping arm, the manufacturer has used the material aluminium, so that you can also use the swing clamp outdoors in bad weather conditions.
Which swing clamp manufacturers do we stock in our shop?
The swing clamps in our range were manufactured by the company Ganter.
What should be considered before buying a swing clamp?
Before buying a swing clamp, you should think about the variant that will best support you in your work. If the assembly is to be as space-saving as possible, we recommend our swing clamp with screw-in thread. The swing clamp can be adjusted to any height. If you need to use a pressure screw, choose a version where we have made a threaded hole on the swivel arm. You can also get versions of our swing clamp where we have not attached a clamping arm.
