Sight glasses are suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. They comply with the European Explosion Protection Directive (ATEX) 2014/34/EU.
Detailed operating instructions are available and are supplied with each sight glass. In addition, the enclosures are ATEX marked.
Other features of the sight glasses include: The very sturdily dimensioned, scratch-resistant ESG glass pane is sealed via an O-ring on the pane circumference, thus the tightness is independent of an axial contact pressure.
The sealing ring is embedded in a radial and flat-side recess. This means that the seal cannot be lost and cannot be squeezed out, especially during tightening.
Sight glasses can also be used with vessels that are under pressure. Test series on the load capacity at overpressure and underpressure are available.
Assembly note:
Use fixing nuts for wall thicknesses below 4 mm.
