Ball joints allow precise and stepless adjustment around the ball pivot point within the swivel range. This is particularly advantageous when adjusting scanners, cameras, lighting or monitors, for example.
Thanks to the efficient clamping mechanism, relatively large clamping forces are generated on the ball even with small tightening torques of the clamping screw. These can be easily applied with the clamping levers (code number 1).
The ball joint can be attached by means of a d5 internal thread from below or, together with the flange available as an accessory, via three through holes from above. For connection on the application side, internal threads are available on the ball for form A or different external threads for form B.
In order to achieve the high holding torques permanently, the contact surfaces on the ball must be kept free of lubricants. Exceeding the recommended tightening torques increases the holding torque, but can lead to increased wear of the clamping mechanism.
