Diamond files and sheets are used wherever conventional files fail due to the hardness of the material to be machined. Diamond files and sheets are also used for machining hardened steel. The working temperatures are so low that no chemical wear occurs. Thus, the higher hardness of the diamond grit can be exploited for a longer service life. The flexible diamond files adapt excellently to the surface to be machined. Due to their flexibility, they are used in convex and concave contours with small radii.
