Fibre discs from PFERD are manufactured according to ISO 16057 in form A1 design F under the designation "Vulcanized fibre discs". For highly aggressive grinding with ultimate stock removal performance on steel materials, hard and poorly heat-conducting materials with simultaneously extremely long tool life. Ultimate, constant maximum performance due to the VICTOGRAIN abrasive grain. Grinding-active additives in the coating achieve a significantly higher stock removal rate, prevent clogging and produce cooler grinding. VICTOGRAIN products are among the most effective grinding tools in the world. PFERD's triangular, precision-molded abrasive grit achieves a uniquely high grinding performance. The abrasive grain edges of the triangles of the VICTOGRAIN abrasive grain, which are identical in shape and size, strike the workpiece at an optimum angle. This means that the individual abrasive grit requires only little energy to penetrate the workpiece. In this way, the user benefits from an efficient cutting process with fast work progress, long tool life, less heat introduced into the workpiece, and lower power requirements of the tool drive.,The VICTOGRAIN abrasive grains are fixed to the carrier with one side of the triangle. This binds them particularly tightly and, in conjunction with the slim shape, provides an extremely large chip space, making the cutting process even more efficient. The structural design of the VICTOGRAIN triangles is also specially adapted. The very small crystals within the triangle offer optimum wear behavior: Very sharp cutting edges are always available, but only a necessary minimum of the abrasive grain/triangle breaks away. The combination of these properties provides the user with ultimate, constant maximum performance with cool grinding and extremely long tool life with uniform surface roughness of the workpiece.
