Joint pieces are universally applicable. The versions with plastic thrust piece prevent damage to sensitive surfaces. For applications in more aggressive environments or with higher loads, the stainless steel versions are to be preferred. The ball diameter d3 is smaller than the core diameter of the thread, so that the adjusting spindle can be screwed in on the ball side. The ball end of the set screw can be easily pressed into the thrust piece and dismantled again if required. The data on the static load capacity of the plastic thrust pieces are guide values which were determined by a series of tests. The thrust piece was loaded vertically via the threaded pin. At the specified load of 3.5 kN, no permanent deformation of the thrust piece was detected, nor did any breakage occur.
