The CAST design, in conjunction with high peripheral speeds, is particularly well suited for surface use on gray and nodular cast iron. Machining tasks include fettling workpieces and grinding out blowholes. Series A mounted points are generally used on larger components. Due to the special shapes of the mounted points series A, grinding can be performed in a wide variety of contours. The processing field ranges from grinding out slots and grooves in hard-to-reach places, to processing bores and small openings, to leveling. Shape A 11 is ideally suited for machining small openings and bores.
