The use of nonwoven abrasives begins where other grinding tools reach their limits or no longer achieve the desired result. The elastic property of the polyamide fibers and the positive effect of the abrasive nonwoven result in excellent, smoothly working finishing tools. The abrasive properties of nonwoven tools are adapted to various applications and make an excellent contribution to solving many machining tasks in metal working and finishing. It is also suitable for machining other difficult-to-grind materials such as ceramics, glass and plastics. Non-woven abrasives consist of polyamide fibers, synthetic resins and abrasive grit. The very loose bonding of the individual fibers to each other results in high flexibility and strong resilience of the nonwoven material. It is flexible and supple and leaves a very special surface structure. The silk-matt sanding result is unique and cannot be produced with other abrasives. The set contains an application-oriented selection of POLIVLIES flap discs for aggressive grinding with maximum stock removal on hard, poorly heat-conducting materials.
