The SOWS-50 telescopic rail is made of 316L (1.4404) stainless steel, which has very high corrosion resistance. The austenitic structure of 316L stainless steel provides excellent toughness, even at cryogenic temperatures. The beams are electrostatically bright polished on all surfaces as standard.
The SOWS-50 is particularly suitable for highly corrosive applications exposed to the elements for extended periods. The compact 50mm profile makes it an excellent choice for heavy duty marine seats or military/emergency truck drawers operating in wet conditions. This is a telescopic rail with partial extension for extreme loads (70 kg to 400 kg/pair), suitable for a wide range of applications. With a length of 550 mm and a stroke of 275 mm, an evenly loaded pair has a capacity of 400 kg.
Constructed of milled stainless steel sections with machined ball races, it ensures accuracy and provides excellent shock and vibration resistance. Accordingly, the product is well suited for supporting marine seats/hatches and food processing machinery guards. The beams and ball bearings are made of austenitic 316L. The end stop pins are made of grade 304 with grade 430 ferritic stainless steel cages to provide complete corrosion protection.
Unlike many other rails manufactured from rolled C-sections, this rail is robust to applied loads in the extended position, making it an excellent choice for dynamic applications. No plastic parts are used in the manufacture of this series, making it ideal for high temperature applications. A single OWS-50 weighs 5.53 kg per meter.
The SOWS-50 extension rail can also be used in the secondary axis, but the load capacity is then reduced to 60% of the load capacity specified for the main axis. It can be supplied with a 70% extension without reducing the load capacity.
