The SOWST-50 is a robust chute with an extension at the front and back to match the closed length. Designed to maximize load in a small space, it is made of 316L (1.4404) stainless steel, which offers very high corrosion resistance. The austenitic structure of 316L stainless steel provides excellent toughness, even at cryogenic temperatures. The beams are bright polished on all surfaces as standard.
The SOWST-50 is particularly suitable for highly corrosive applications exposed to the elements for extended periods of time. The compact 50mm profile makes it an excellent choice for heavy duty marine seats or military/emergency truck drawers operating in wet conditions. This is a telescopic rail for extreme loads (60 kg to 400 kg/pair), suitable for a wide range of applications. At 550 mm, the loaded pair has a capacity of 400 kg.
Constructed of milled 316L stainless steel sections, with machined ball races for accuracy, it has excellent levels of shock and vibration resistance. Accordingly, it is very suitable for supporting marine seats/hatches and food machinery guards. The supports and ball bearings are made of austenitic 316L. The end stop pins are made of grade 304 with grade 430 ferritic stainless steel cages to provide complete corrosion protection.
Unlike many other rails manufactured from rolled C-sections, this rail is robust to applied loads in the extended position, making it an excellent choice for dynamic applications. No plastic parts are used in the manufacture of this series, making it ideal for high temperature applications. A single SOWST-50 weighs 5.53 kg per meter.
The SOWST-50 extension rail can also be used in the secondary axis, but the load capacity is then reduced to 60% of the load capacity specified for the main axis. It can be supplied with a 70% extension, which does not reduce the load capacity.
