The sensor detects the piston position of pneumatic cylinders with magnetic pistons. Cylinders installed in pneumatic clamps also allow the position of the clamps themselves to be queried by means of this sensor. When the switching point is reached, the sensor electronics supply a high signal, e.g. to a machine controller, and also indicate this switching state via the integrated LED. For mounting, the sensor is placed in the cylinder groove from above. The lateral retaining ribs prevent it from falling out. A quarter turn of the fastening screw fixes the sensor quickly and reliably in the groove.
