Split set collars correspond dimensionally to the slotted set collars . They are used when axial mounting is not possible. These set collars can be mounted easily and securely by reducing the slot height with a strong clamping force and thus serve as a stop, for example. The surface of the shaft or axle is not damaged. The thread d3 is designed as a through hole for sizes d1 = 20 to 36, and as a blind hole from size d1 = 42.
