Stainless steel indexing plungers with sensor for position sensing enable the indexing pin status to be sensed electronically. For this purpose, a magnet is integrated on the indexing pin of the indexing plunger, which switches the sensor when it engages after approx. 2/3 of the indexing travel l1. The sensor electronics then supplies a high signal at the output, e.g. to a machine control system, and additionally indicates this switching state via an LED on the sensor. To avoid interference, the plunger should not be exposed to any external magnetic fields. The stainless steel indexing plungers are supplied with a loose sensor, sensor clip, Allen key and a hexagon nut.
