Pendulum elements are used as movable supports or thrust pieces for clamping workpieces. They can also be used as a stop.
In the case of shuttle elements with automatic reset, the support surface swivels back into the initial position after clamping. This prevents the ball from jamming in an inclined position when the workpiece is inserted.
