Stainless steel spring latches are used when the latch pin must not protrude temporarily. The locking pin is retracted by turning the bolt by 180°. A detent notch ensures that the bolt is held in both positions. The square allows welding in any desired position. In order to avoid strong heating and thus a change in the spring properties, fixing with spot welds is recommended. Stainless steel spring latches are designed for applications in steel construction or in locksmith's shops. Here, less precise positioning / locking is usually required. Consequently, the dimensional tolerances are selected in such a way that, on the one hand, functional reliability is guaranteed even in the event of soiling and, on the other hand, favourable manufacturing processes are used.
