Spring plungers are used when the plunger pin must not protrude temporarily. The plunger pin is retracted by turning the latch by 180°. A detent notch ensures that the latch is held in both positions. Stainless steel spring latches are designed for steel construction or locksmith applications. Here, less precise positioning/locking is usually required. Consequently, the dimensional tolerances are selected in such a way that, on the one hand, functional reliability is guaranteed even in the event of soiling and, on the other hand, favourable manufacturing processes are used.
