Torque three-star handles are used when the torque applied by manual force is to be secured or limited. When turning clockwise, the torque mechanism of the three-star handle triggers an "overlocking" when the specified torque is reached. When turning to the left, the mechanism locks in such a way that no torque limitation takes place. This ensures that a maximum permissible torque is not exceeded, e.g. when tightening. A torque required for loosening, on the other hand, is always reliably transmitted.
