Welding sockets can be used to attach connecting threads to containers, tanks or hydraulic cylinders by welding. Filling and drain plugs or ventilation elements as well as oil sight glasses can be easily mounted by screwing them in. The flat surfaces are machined and can be used as sealing surfaces in conjunction with a suitable sealing element. During welding, the sufficiently strong wall thickness prevents deformation or burn-through. Form B (with collar) is used when precise positioning through the locating bore or a low overall height is required.
