Longitudinal spirit levels are used to check the horizontal position of fixtures, machines as well as devices and instruments. The Form AV vials are aligned with the reference surface in such a way that the bubble is centred on the marking lines when the horizontal position of the bearing surface is reached. The Form JV vials are aligned using the mounting holes during installation. An alignment cam on the underside serves as a tipping point. By selective tightening, the tilt position can be achieved in which the bubble is located within the central marking lines.
