Edge protection sealing profiles are used to seal doors, flaps and hatches. For this purpose, the profiles are pressed by hand onto the end faces of sheets or panels. The embedded clamping insert protects against independent loosening. Adhesives or other fasteners are not required.
When installed, the profile should experience a deformation through the components to be sealed which corresponds to the dimension w2. This ensures an optimum sealing effect. In order to ensure a permanent tightness of the profiles and to facilitate installation, it is recommended to comply with the specified guide values for the installation radii (r1... r4).
The profiles made of NBR are to be used in areas of application where contact with fuels, oils or cooling lubricants may occur.
EPDM profiles are certified according to UL 50 and UL 94-HB and are therefore approved for the US and Canadian markets.
