Stainless steel holding discs are used as a counterpart for holding magnets, e.g. when a magnet is to be used in conjunction with non-magnetic materials.

They can be fastened with countersunk screws, e.g. DIN 7991, but also with commercially available wood or sheet metal countersunk screws.
