Ultrasonic measuring instrument for testing the authenticity of gold and other precious metals

  • [[1]] The TN-GOLD can be used to determine if gold bars or gold coins are genuineor if they contain false cores
  • The instrument measures the thickness of gold bars or gold coins by ultrasound
  • [[2]] Method: Ultrasonic waves are introduced into the test object via a sensor. The waves penetrate the test object, are reflected at the opposite surface and are picked up again by the sensor. The measurement result thus obtained is compared with the material thickness traditionally measured by caliper gauge. On the basis of the measured value output, false cores (figure: gray) such as those made of tungsten, lead, etc. are very easy to detect, since the ultrasound behavior here is different from that in pure goldSelectable units: mm, inch
  • [[3]] SAUTER SSG software (included) can be used to determine whether the test piece is genuine or contains a false core - and this at a high level of security. Runs on PC, operating system Microsoft Windows (R) 7 - 10Known admixtures in the tested gold piece - e.g. copper or silver - are compensated for by the software
  • In addition, the software determines the value of the gold piece. The gold price is constantly queried online for this purpose
