Safety clamping levers are used when accidental, careless loosening or adjustment can lead to accidents.
Unactuated, the lever is not connected to the threaded insert, i.e. the clamping lever can be turned smoothly.
Only when the lever hub is pressed down do the two serrations engage, allowing release or tensioning.
After "releasing", the connection is released again by spring force.
